Mādahòkì Farm is opening its gates wider than ever to welcome local, national, and international visitors seeking meaningful, authentic Indigenous experiences—at their own pace.

Our new visitor experiences invite families, individuals, and small groups to enjoy hands-on cultural activities and farm offerings that were once reserved for school and corporate groups.

Whether you’re exploring with kids or travelling solo, this is your opportunity to connect with the land, animals, and traditions of this sacred space—all while enjoying the flexibility of a self-guided visit.

General admission is free.
Fees apply for workshops, horse encounters, and other guided experiences.

Let little adventurers climb our hay bale tower, dig into the new sand play zone, and enjoy interactive fun in a safe and natural setting.

Browse a curated selection from Indigenous vendors, offering one-of-a-kind goods from apparel and jewellery to home décor, crafts, and locally made food.

From traditional favourites to tasty treats, our snack bar features rotating Indigenous offerings to enjoy while you explore.

✔️ Meet the Animals
Say hello to our friendly goats, bunnies, and small animals—and meet the rare and endangered Ojibwe Spirit Horses, central to the teachings and stories shared on the farm.

✔️ Walk the Legacy Trail
Take a peaceful stroll along this scenic path, where interpretive signage guides you through traditional medicines and Seven Grandfather Teachings—a grounding experience for all ages.

Thursdays – Mishtadim: Ojibwe Spirit Horse Encounters

Experience a close connection with the rare Ojibwe Spirit Horse, a sacred breed with deep cultural roots. This meaningful encounter is made possible through the generous support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

Fridays & Sundays – Creation Workshop

Begin with a short cultural introduction and guided tour of Mādahòkì Farm’s gardens and displays, then create your own traditional dreamcatcher to take home.

Saturdays – Farm Play

A family favourite! Enjoy hands-on time with our animals—snuggle goats, feed the small animals, pet bunnies, and get a personal introduction to our beloved Ojibwe Spirit Horses.

Take a self-guided storytelling journey across the farm, exploring the legacy of the Ojibwe Spirit Horse through:

  • Oral histories and Elder teachings

  • Art installations and interpretive panels

  • Historical documents and visual archives

  • A unique augmented reality experience where you can interact with the ponies virtually
