Upholstery Training Program
Madahoki Farm is proud to partner with The New Oak Tree to launch a new Upholstery Training Program for Indigenous participants.
This program offers hands-on training in a high-demand trade, while also providing business skills to help participants choose between working for others or starting their own upholstery business.
We have two calls to action:
Indigenous applicants:
If you are interested in joining this 8-month program (3–4 days per week), please email us at wastediversion@thenewoaktree.com to learn more. While stipends are not currently available, we may be able to assist with transportation. Supporters of Madahoki Farm:
If you have an upholstery or refinishing project, email us at wastediversion@thenewoaktree.com to book. Ten percent of each job will directly support this training initiative, helping us build a long-term program beyond the pilot phase.
This is an opportunity to support waste diversion, invest in meaningful trade skills, and empower Indigenous learners to earn a living wage. Let’s build something lasting together.
