Families, individuals, and small groups are invited to enjoy hands-on cultural activities, interactive programming, and unique farm experiences in a welcoming, land-based setting.

Take a peaceful stroll along this scenic path, where interpretive signage guides you through traditional medicines and Seven Grandfather Teachings, a grounding experience for all ages.

Trail of the Spirit Horse
Thursdays to Sundays | 11AM–4PM
$20 per adult, $12 per child (under 12)
Approximately 45 minutes
This self-guided tour takes the visitor on a journey across Mādahòkì Farm through the history, stories and teachings of the rare and endangered Ojibwe Spirit Horses. Along the Trail of the Spirit Horse, visitors will hear Elders’ and Knowledge Keepers’ stories and teachings, encounter Indigenous art installations across the trail, step into a horse trailer for a short video of the final rescue and experience the ponies in a unique augmented reality experience.
Please note:
- The experience requires internet connection/data and location services along the trail
- The trail follows paths across Mādahòkì Farm and includes mulch and grass paths, so it may have limited mobility

Mishtadim: Equine Assisted Learning (Private Sessions)

In the Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) experience, the horses become our teachers. EAL is simply a fun and interactive way to work in partnership with a horse to develop beneficial life skills like self confidence, leadership, communication, healing and reflection. Horses are mirrors to your own emotions and provide honest and immediate feedback. Our innovative program of Mishtadim (meaning horse in Ojibwe) incorporates reflecting on the Seven Grand Father teachings along with a standard EAL session / and activity. All sessions are led by professionally certified EAL Facilitators who can tailor the session to your personal goals. There is no riding or previous horse experience required.
This is a private session so there will be no one else in your session other than the people in your group. You can have a maximum of 4 people in a private session.
Ojibwe Spirit Horse Encounters
Thursdays & Sundays | 11:30AM–1PM
$90 per adult, $60 per child (6-12 years)
Approximately 60-90 minutes

This experience offers a rare opportunity to have an up close and personal connection with the endangered Ojibwe Spirit Horses. Start with a self-guided tour of the Trail of the Spirit Horse across Mādahòkì Farm, helping to share the rich cultural teachings and stories of this rare and endangered breed. This tour includes 10 stations with audios, video and art installations including an Augmented Reality experience with the horses. Following the self-guided tour, meet your host at 12:30PM at the entrance to the Barn where you will meet, groom and interact with a Spirit Horse. No horse experience required, ages 6+ recommended.
Creation Workshop
Fridays & Sundays | 12PM
$25 per person (includes dreamcatcher kit)
Approximately 90 minutes
Max. capacity: 20 people
Enjoy a short introduction to Indigenous Culture with a mini tour of the cultural displays and gardens of Mādahòkì Farm, followed by creating your own traditional dreamcatcher with a cultural ambassador. Advised for ages 8+.
Farm Play
Saturdays | 2PM
$15 per person (all ages)
Max. capacity: 20 people
A family favourite! Enjoy some free time and fun on the farm including a personal meet and greet with many of Mādahòkì’s favourite farm animals. Snuggle goats, bunnies and baby pigs, feed the small animals, and view the Ojibwe Spirit Horses in their paddocks.

Enjoy an exclusive, guided experience at Mādahòkì Farm designed to deepen your connection to Indigenous culture, the land, and the rare Ojibwe Spirit Horses.
Your visit begins with a traditional welcome from a Cultural Ambassador and an introduction to Indigenous culture, followed by a self-guided walk along the Trail of the Spirit Horse. Savour a private Indigenous-inspired picnic or lunch featuring seasonal favourites before spending one-on-one time grooming and walking your own rare and endangered Ojibwe Spirit Horse. Each experience also includes a hands-on cultural activity, such as dreamcatcher-making or another craft, inspired by your Cultural Ambassador’s unique knowledge and traditions.
